DataPass is a static documentation website. We do not:
- Collect personal information
- Use cookies for tracking
- Store user data on our servers

DataPass does not collect:

- Browsing history or usage patterns

Static Site Hosting
DataPass is hosted on static hosting infrastructure. The hosting provider may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs) for operational purposes. We do not access or analyze these logs.
Client-Side Tools
The DataPass website includes interactive tools:
Validator Tool
The Validator processes data cards entirely in your browser. Your data card content is never transmitted to any server. Validation happens locally using JavaScript.
Builder Tool
The Builder helps you create data cards. All form data is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to any server. Exported JSON files are generated client-side.
Schema Explorer
The Schema Explorer displays the JSON Schema specification. No user data is collected or transmitted.
Local Storage
DataPass may use browser local storage to save:
- Theme preference (light/dark mode)
- Language preference
This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
DataPass does not integrate with:
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media tracking
- Customer support chat tools
External Links
DataPass documentation may contain links to external websites, including GitHub, specification documents, and reference materials. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
Registry Submissions
If you submit a data card to the DataPass registry via GitHub pull request:
- Your data card becomes publicly visible in the registry
- Your GitHub username is associated with the submission
- Contact information you include in the data card is published
Do not include personal information in data cards that you do not wish to be public.
Children's Privacy
DataPass is a technical documentation site and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes will be announced in the GitHub repository.
